About Sarah
As long as she can remember, Sarah wanted nothing more than to be on a horse. She convinced her non-horsey parents to let her start taking lessons when she was seven years old, and quickly thereafter started doing barn chores and riding "problem" horses to earn lesson time. She competed in hunters and jumpers as a teen in South Florida, then switched to eventing when she moved to Maryland in 2007. She has worked as a volunteer trainer for several horse rescues, has exercise ridden at Laurel race track, and has competed her self-produced OTTB through the upper levels of eventing and 3rd level dressage. Sarah believes the key to success in riding is clear, consistent communication between horses and riders and breaking down big issues into smaller, less intimidating steps. She loves nothing more than to see her students succeed!
